Course Description
Copyeditors are masters of the English language, but darn those homonyms, homophones, and homographs! And more seriously, our language keeps changing, as it should, to reflect the times. In this new, highly interactive 3-hour webinar, we’ll tackle some typically confused terms, address recent trends in the language (such as singular “they”), and learn how to help authors write sensitively about topics involving race, sex and gender, and disability. You’ll be given helpful information and resources—but we want to hear your ideas and experience, too. If you enjoy challenging and lively discussion, then set aside these two Wednesdays in January to start the new year off write rite wright right!
