This two-session workshop will prepare you to work more efficiently and accurately with copy for magazines, websites, corporate publications, and other clients who follow the Associated Press style. The instructor covers AP rules on punctuation, spelling, word treatments, and other copyediting basics. She also points out some of the differences between Webster’s New World College Dictionary, recommended by AP, and Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, preferred by many clients.
Exercises include a short real-world copyediting test. Prerequisite: At least one year of copyediting experience.
